July 4th Old Fashioned Festival

Enjoy the holiday with your friends and family at the Bend Park & Recreation District’s Old Fashioned July 4th Festival. It’s a day filled with old-fashioned fun & games, food and festivities – you won’t want to miss out!

Make a day of it: Begin at 8:00 am in Drake Park with the annual Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast then cruise to downtown Bend by 9:00 am with your dog, llama, wagon, bicycle or stuffed animal for the popular Bend Park & Recreation District Pet Parade. The parade kicks off at 10:00 am sharp and circles through downtown for 1.5 miles.

After the Pet Parade, head back to Drake Park between 11:00 am – 4:00 pm to enjoy the Festival with live music, local artisans and delicious food. Don’t forget to cruise through the expanded Kids & Family Area brought to you by the Law Offices of Warren John West where kids of all ages will be entertained with FREE old fashioned fun and games.

The evening kicks off at 5:30pm with live music. Don’t worry you’ll have time in between the opening and headliner acts to grab some delicious grub from one of the many food trucks and vendors or sip on a Deschutes Brew to quench your summer time thirst while you browse local artisans and craftspeople’s booths. Kids will love the family fun area complete with bouncy houses to wear off a bit of Thursday night energy!

FOOD & LIBATIONS

The Munch & Music food court is sure to have something for everyone! As one of the largest gatherings of all you favorite local food trucks and vendors; make sure you arrive hungry!

The Deschutes Brewery Libation Stations will be available with beer, wine and a specialty cocktail weekly. With our walk-around policy, you can roam the area freely with your beverage! No outside alcohol is allowed on the event premise.

DOG POLICY

We love your dogs, but please leave them at home. Our event attracts large crowds of people and many small children. Thank you for sparing your pup the overwhelming atmosphere by leaving them at home.

LOCATION

Located in the iconic Drake Park of downtown Bend, head downtown and you can’t miss us! With an outdoor amphitheater nestled just along the Deschutes River, this is an ideal spot for a weekly picnic with live music and lots of grassy knolls to share. Lawn seating only. Only low back chairs are permitted. And, please be courteous of those willing to sit on the ground and place your chairs towards the back of the concert seating area. We thank you in advance!

For the Love of Pets Benefit Festival @ American Legion Part

Bring the whole family (two- and four-legged) to enjoy a good time benefiting local shelters and rescues.

This FREE, dog-friendly community festival is host to an IPA tasting, live music, silent auction, raffle, dozens of vendors and adoptable pets galore. 100% of funds raised at the event are split among the beneficiaries, which for 2019 are Brightside Animal Center, Three Rivers Humane Society, Humane Society of the Ochocos and Cascade Canine Rescue East & West.

Raffle announcements and giveaways every hour! Live music by Friends of Lenny starting at 1 p.m.

Bring product donations (e.g. cat litter, tennis balls, bleach) in exchange for raffle tickets.
